Rodeo Roundup

Today, St. Paul's Christian Day School held their annual Rodeo Roundup. During the month of March the kids learn about Texas Independence and cowboys and cowgirls, along with all the other fun enriching activities they do on a regular basis. This year Dalton was selected to participate in the Parade of Colors at the beginning of the Rodeo. He rode his horse proud and carried the Texas Flag.

The first Bouncing Bear (3 year old) competition was the scooter race. As you will see Dalton's hat was just slightly more important than winning the race, but most importantly he finished the race strong.

The second competition was hay hauling. Here again he decided to be a gentlemen and let his "girlfriend" win the race. (Yes, you read that correct....so he tells us Lilly is his "girlfriend"....does it really start this young?)

I hope you enjoy the videos. I will post pictures at another time. He was so excited about his Rodeo performance. In preparation for today's big showing we had to take a special trip to the cowboy store. He got his first pair of cowboy boots, wrangler jeans (cowboy jeans like he calls them), cowboy shirt and we could not leave without a cowboy hat like daddy. What we do for our kids.
