Winkelmann's Take On Disney

Our magical Disney vacation began on the afternoon of Wednesday, October 9. We boarded Jet Blue Flight 2416 from Austin bound for Orlando. The kids excitement was obvious. Not only was this their 1st trip to Walt Disney World but it was also their 1st airplane ride.

We successfully checked our bags and managed to get through security with no issues. When we located our gate the kids immediately went to the windows to watch for the plane to arrive.

They were so excited when they boarded. Dalton's eye's beamed the entire time I do believe.

Dalton trying to figure out his TV remote. They were both mesmerized by the idea of having their own TV in front of them. I'll admit it was nice and helped to keep them occupied.

Mallory excited to get her suitcase at the airport.

Once we got all of our luggage we were off to Disney's Magical Express kiosk to load the bus bound for our resort.

Walt Disney World, Here We Come

The Winkelmann's are ready to take on Walt Disney World. We are headed out tomorrow afternoon and will see you when we return Sunday. Check back next week to see how our trip went. I won't be blogging while on vacation.

Fire Safety Week

The Brenham Fire Department made a stop at St. Paul's yesterday and I was fortunate enough to be in town and swing by for some pictures and listen to the fire safety message with Mallory and her class. The kids got to meet some firefighters and Sparky the fire dog. They watched a video about fire safety in their homes. Most importantly they learned to Stop, Drop and Roll if they are on fire and how to safely exit their home in a fire situation. Hopefully this will never happen but it's a good lesson to learn.

Soccer Season - Go Crushers

Soccer season has started so you can catch us at Hohlt Park at least one night a week, maybe twice some weeks. Dalton's first scheduled game was rained out, so his first game was last week, Oct. 3.

County Fair

We survived our annual week of the Washington County Fair. Next year the fair will take on a new meaning as we will have some sort of animal project as Dalton joined 4-H this year.

The Cliff Hanger was Dalton's favorite ride this year.

The Ferris Wheel was Mallory's favorite ride. She was able to talk Daddy into riding it one night and then Granny rode it a second night with her.

This was pretty cool and Dalton loved it. Perfect activity to wear out a child.

Dalton was so excited he got to touch a live alligator courtesy of the Texas Parks and Wildlife. It was new to the fair this year and was pretty cool.
