Birthday Re-Cap

Yes, I'm behind once again, but am trying to play catch up over the last few weeks. We celebrated Mallory's 2nd birthday on November 18. The grandparents joined us for dinner at Brenham Airport's Southern Flyer Diner. Then on Saturday we had several friends and family over for her big celebration. It's hard to believe she is now 2. Everyday we can see her grow up before our eyes. She is beginning to talk more, is very caring and compassionate, loves her brother most of the time and most importantly takes our breath away with her personality. We love you so much princess.

Washington On The Brazos

On November 21, Dalton's class went to Washington On The Brazos State Park for a presentation on Native Americans. They learned what animals the Indians hunted and not only were the animals food, but they did not waste any part. Animal parts were used to make weapons, tools, clothes, musical instruments, baby carries, water bottles and various other items necessary for survival.

St. Paul's Open House

During open house we were able to see some of their classroom work and then were privileged to watch them in a play.

Soccer Party

Dalton's soccer team got together a couple weeks back to celebrate the season. It was a great learning experience for both Dalton and Ryan. I think that Dalton either matured between spring t-ball and fall soccer or there is a serious interest for the game. None the less it was time to celebrate. Each player got a medal with their name, team name and year engraved on the back.

Happy Thanksgiving

Happy Thanksgiving to all our friends and family! We are blessed to have each of you in our lives. We give our thanks unto the Lord for he is good and his mercy endures us forever! We have so many blessings to be thankful for that the list could go on and on, but ultimately we are thankful for our family, the house that we call our home, the food on our table and the memories that we make on a daily basis. God is good...we shall not want more than we need! Enjoy all your blessings and remember why we have them! Yesterday is history, today is here, tomorrow is not promised!! Make your memories count and thank him for your blessings today and everyday!

We Will Miss You Granny G

Tomorrow we will say our final goodbye to Granny "G" Grabarschick. We will certainly miss you and your wisdom, but we know you are with Grandpa Albert and ya'll are smiling down before us. You were an inspiration to all of us. Your stories are precious memories we will keep with us forever. After 96 years, 33 of those years teaching many children including your own and your grandchildren, you fulfilled your life on earth and decided heaven was a much better fit. We may no longer see you, but our love for you will never end and your great-grandchildren will certainly know all about you. Heaven has just gained a beautiful angel. Goodbye Granny "G". Until next time....

Happy 2nd Birthday Mallory

Happy Birthday baby girl! It's hard to believe you blessed our lives two years ago today the same day we remember the 12 fallen Aggies! You are truely a blessing from above!

Here is a sneak peak at some of the pictures I took this past Sunday in downtown Brenham to capture her big #2. I by no means have any photographic skills, but I was pretty impressed with what I got that now I can't decide which is my favorite.

RIP "Gracie"

Last night we had the difficult task of saying goodbye to "Gracie" the family cocker spaniel that Ryan and I got a month after we got married (nearly 10 years ago). We knew that she was getting old and that one day this would happen, but it's never easy. Both kids got to say goodbye before daddy took Gracie to her final resting place behind our house. We told them that Gracie went to heaven and is running with the angels, but then we were challenged with many questions from Dalton including, "If Gracie is in heaven why is she still here? How will she get up to the sky? Will she come back next week?". Then the last question I honestly did not expect so soon was "Can we get another puppy?"

Rest in peace "Gracie". You will always hold a special place in our hearts!

Last Soccer Game...

Monday night was Dalton's last soccer game, at least this season. I see more soccer in our future! Hopefully he will enjoy baseball this coming spring as much as he enjoyed soccer or I may just have to face it that he won't be the ball player I had hoped for. Keeping my fingers crossed. I had difficulty getting good action shots in the dark so here are a couple. Not the best, but my photography skills are lack luster to say the least.

Dalton and Landon

The guys.
Ryan had a great experience coaching soccer for his first time.
