1st Grade = Complete

Today marks Dalton's last day of 1st Grade at Krause Elementary. It's a bittersweet moment to think that we now have a 2nd grader. The year may have started out a bit rough with the transition from St. Paul's, but it ended very positive and his final grades certainly reflect a successfull year. (The final grade is cumulative of all 6 - six weeks grades.)

Game #11 - Last One

Dalton had his final little league game this season last night. They finished out the run with another 9-0 win. The Twins managed to go 11-0 for an undefeated season!! It was an awesome experience and a huge accomplishment for these 7 year old boys. Having an undefeated season at their age is unheard of. It was their 1st year with a pitching machine. In 9 short weeks the talent these boys developed was obvious last night. They caught fly balls, threw out base runners and simply played smart ball. Way to go Dalton, we love you and wish you only the best in your years ahead!

Digging Potatoes

While at Nana and Popo's this past weekend the kids got a taste of digging potatoes. Between the ants and the decision to dig potatoes in the middle of the afternoon in 90 degree temps meant it was a short experience. Honestly, I think they enjoyed digging in Popo's nice sand more then actually locating the potatoes themselves. We don't have sand at home to dig in so it's a treat just in and of it self.

This is only 1/4 of what's still in the garden.

1 Year Down

Mallory officially completed her 1st year of school at St. Paul's May 21st! Her academic and social skills grew significantly over the year. She has mastered all the skill levels a Frisky Frog needs to move on up. For their last day of class they attended closing chapel, visited their new Bouncing Bear classrooms and colored the sheet below. She is singing her ABC's, recognizes shapes and colors and is absolutely excited to go to school! It was a fantastic Frisky Frog year! Mrs. Schmidt and Mrs. Connie were fantastic teachers and we will certainly miss them.

Class Pictures

It's hard to believe we are in the final days of the 2012-2013 school year. Where did this year go? Our baby girl will finish her first year at St. Paul's in the Frisky Frog program (2 year old class) next Tuesday, May 21 and our big boy will complete his first year at Krause Elementary in 1st grade on Friday, May 31. They are certainly growing up way too fast!

Game #8

Monday night Dalton had his 8th game of the season. We have been very fortunate to only have two rainouts so far and we have made one of those games up. We have three games to go so hopefully we can finish the season out strong. It was another dominating win 15-0. Dalton had two strikeouts and 1 hit. We have finally played all the teams at least once. Here are a few pics from the night.

Coronation & Parade Pics

Maifest 2013 has come and gone and we survived our 1st year with two participating. Here are a few pictures from the coronation Friday evening and then the parade Saturday morning.

Plate Spinner - Dalton

Dancing Bear - Mallory

Mallory was one cute little dancing bear. We were so proud of her. She came a long way from the 1st dance practice they had.

After the coronation we let them enjoy a few activites before we headed home.

The parade Saturday morning.
Thanks to all the family and friends that came out to watch the parade. I snapped this picture before the parade and then the kids did not want to take pictures after the parade with anyone else. As you can see I could not even get Mallory in the picture before the parade.

Mallory rode on the Maifest Flavors float. It was brand new this year.

After the parade both kids changed out of their costumes and we enjoyed lunch at YUMM downtown.
