Mallory's 1st Dance/Gymnastics Recital

Last Sunday Mallory had her very 1st dance and gymnastics recital. She was so excited. We did hair, got dressed and then glammed her up with make-up including mascara for the very 1st time. She was all smiles and ready to show us her moves. When we arrived to a packed St. Paul's Fellowship Hall her mood quickly changed. She clung to her daddy. When it was time to go sit with her class it was not happening. She was pulled off me, kicking, screaming and doing just about everything she could to get back to us. We could hear her crying at our seats and just knew there would be NO tumbling or dancing from her. As the girls began to warm up and time for the recital to begin we anxiously watched for her class. To our surprise she had calmed down and joined her class. She had so much fun on stage and was just a smiling. You would have never known the fit she just threw had we all not seen or heard it (I'm talking the entire Fellowship Hall.) It ended up being a great evening and we could not be more proud of her.

Her class getting ready for their gymnastics routine.

Doing her cartwheel which she has only learned since September. It's actually very good with straight legs. She is the second from right doing her cartwheel.

Mallory and her class doing their tap dance routine.

As you can see she was really into it.

A picture with her daddy after the recital.

Mallory and Bailey, her best bud in school and dance.

All of her pretty roses. Thanks to Grandma and Nana and Popo for taking time out of their busy schedules to watch Mallory in her 1st of many recitals.

Thanksgiving 2013

My one and only picture from Thanksgiving...

I may not have the pictures to show it but we had a great Thanksgiving celebrating with family. We are so thankful to have the family we do and Ely had some BIG news to share with us this day. Our Winkelmann family will grow by one more in June 2014. Congrat's Ryon and Laura we could not be more excited. I know Mallory and Dalton can't wait for a new baby cousin.

Mallory's 4th Birthday

On Mallory's actual birthday she celebrated at school by sharing a special snack with all her classmates. After school the celebrations continued all the way down to the soccer field to watch her brother's last game of the season.

Mallory's 4th Birthday - Family Party

Round two of parties was celebrating with our dear family members. We are thankful to have every one of them in our lives and here to share in special moments just as Birthday's.

Mallory's 4th Birthday - Friends Party

It's hard to imagine Mallory being old enough to celebrate her 4th Birthday, but we did. After attending a couple parties at Time Well Spent earlier in the year, there was no convincing Mallory of any other party suggestions so we went with it. To be honest it was one of the simplest parties we have done. All we had to do was show up with a cake and snacks, they did the rest and the kids absolutely had a blast.
