Dalton's Halloween Festivities

Krause Elementary celebrated Halloween with a Masquerade Parade this morning. Check out Mrs. Wellmann's 1st grade class.

Mallory's Halloween Party

Mallory's Frisky Frog class celebrated Halloween yesterday with a yummy snack. They carved their class pumpkin on Monday.

Salem's Fall Festival

Sunday after the Corn Maize we headed to church for the annual LYO fall festival. The kids enjoyed playing games (mainly Dalton - Mallory is still hesitant), collecting their share of CANDY and munching on hot dogs and ice cream.

Brazos Valley Corn Maize

Sunday we headed down Salem Rd and enjoyed a few hours at the Brazos Valley Corn Maize. It's nice to have a place like this just down the road. The kids had a blast and the weather was great. It's a great recommendation if you are looking for something to do with your family this fall. Check them out here.

Homecoming 2012

Homecoming 2012 was truely a homecoming for the Brenham community. There were so many emotions that words can't describe. It was a humbling experience to watch Justin Davis walk out of the locker room with his future cubs for the 1st time. He truely took the walk of a champion when he stepped on to the field for the 1st time since his stroke in August!

We managed to make it through halftime and then headed home.

Exhausted....

This is how I feel after the month of October! I need a major energy boost to survive November and December. Any advice?

Monster Mania

My monster has a football head. His name is Frank-N-Cub. He loves to watch football with me. First I made his head. A button for his nose. Then bolts for his ears and two wiggly eyes. Second I cut arms and legs from construction paper. Added shoes and a football. The last thing was to add noodles and beans to make him happy. ~ Dalton

Dalton had his 1st school project of the year. I think it turned out pretty fab. It's totally him right now. Any guesses as to what he wants to be for Halloween? Not only did they have to create a monster but they also had to write a story about their monster. I was super impressed with his creativity and writing. I was a bit worried what we would write about and he took charge.

On a side note: progress reports for the 2nd six weeks came home yesterday. Reading 99, Lang Arts 97, Math 98, Science 100 & Social Studies 100! We are so thrilled with his success at Krause this year!

Homecoming Parade

It's 'Homecoming Week' in Brenham! Last night we headed downtown for the traditional parade. Since Dalton's participating in the Future Cub program he was able to ride in the parade this year. We of course will head down to Cub Stadium tomorrow for some Friday Night Lights and cheer on the Cubs for another win!!!

Dalton and Caleb before the parade.

Mallory posing with the downtown scarecrows before the parade.

Waiting for it to start.
