The weekend after the fair we loaded up and headed down to Port O'Connor for a quick fishing trip and to take the boat out one last time for the year. We knew the weather was not favorable, but we had room reservations that we could not cancel so we decided if nothing else it would be a good weekend getaway with my family. As expected it rained the entire weekend. The guys went out and "tried" to do some fishing in the rain, but they caught nothing to keep. It was a nice relaxing weekend and after taking care of the chickens for 6 straight weeks day and night it was nice to have no worries again.

I don't think you can cap off the fishing better than a decent trip on a fine and dandy boat, where you get to greet the sun amidst the beats of currents. That should be enough in a lot of ways. I hope you get to enjoy more of those in the future. Thanks for sharing that! All the best!
