Day 2 started with a yummy breakfast and allowed the kids an opportunity to watch the koi fish swim in the ponds. We left Baton Rouge at 10:30 am and crossed the Mississippi state line at 11:45 am. We made a potty stop at the Mississippi rest area and did a quick drive by of the Infinity Science Center, a NASA Visitor Center. We will plan a visit into our next trip. We crossed the Alabama state line at 1:15 pm, an hour later we crossed the Florida state line an encountered our 1st rain shower of the trip. Honestly, I think it has rained every time we have crossed the Florida state line, not joking! We arrived SPLASH at 5:07 pm, 12.5 hours and a total of 717 miles. We unloaded the car and unpacked into our new home away from home room 704W. We enjoyed watching the sunset that evening and then headed out for some supper and a quick run to the grocery store before we headed back to the condo.
