Trip out West

For our 10-Year Wedding Anniversary Ryan and I decided to head out west to California. We flew out last Wednesday from Austin and landed in San Francisco a short time later. We rented a car and headed toward our first destination, Napa, which meant our first bridge to cross was the Golden Gate Bridge on coast road 1.

I did not realize just how many dairy's there are in California, but we passed many along the way.

Sheep is also another commodity in the rolling hills.

But let me tell you the closer we got to Sonoma and Napa the hills and fields were full of grape rows just like this. They seem to put them just about anywhere they have an open spot.

We spent two nights in downtown Napa at the Avia, a Hyatt hotel, which I would highly recommend to anyone and would stay there again on a return trip.

We had a suite so there was a small living room area with dual sided fireplace to the bedroom.

The bathroom was gigantic with a walk in shower and double vanity.
