Destruction of Mother Nature

It's often said that God does not give us more that we can handle, but these fires are absolutely devestating. My heart breaks for all the families. Here are just a few pictures of the devestation. My dad, a TxDot employee, was called in to help protect the historic structures in Bastrop State Park. At one point they were completely surrounded by fire. On the other hand Ryan, took off this morning to help fight the fires on the other side of us toward Houston. Prayer is a powerful thing. Let's stand together and ask for his mercy.

The picture below was taken by an LCRA Ranger as he patrolled in Tahitian Villiage. It's truely amazing what survives in the mist of destruction. God Bless America, God Bless Texas! We will survive!

Here is also a link to a video that LCRA Ranger Jason Hoffman captured on his patrol car's video camera while patrolling Tahitian Village in Bastrop County Sunday night. His compelling video captures the devestation left by the fires that destroyed hundreds of homes. http://youtu.be/b4TF3h-W1Nk
