July 1 Update

Electrical is run to the house and should be powered on by July 2 with lights.

Front Door with hardware.

Drive-way formed and ready for concrete. Concrete will be poured on July 2.

Forgot to mention - we only got one broken window from the rock layers. This will be replaced shortly.

AC vents were installed today in preparation to turn AC on before weeks end. Yeah...no more cleaning in the HOT Texas heat anymore.

Dryer vent installed.

Door hardware is all on.

June 29 Update

On Monday June 29 we had a slight set back. We had two water leaks. This was the 1st one that occured in the garage and only affected the ceiling. It's amazing what just a little water can do. Luckily their were contractors on site and they shut the water off immediately before any significant damage occured. The leak was repaired the same day and water was turned back on to the house. This damage will be fixed starting July 6 with new sheetrock.

When I got to the house around 4:30 to take pictures and look at what had been done I walked into the office and discovered a 2nd water leak in the office closet. The water was dripping from the light fixture. By the time I made the discovery there was water damage to the exterior wall, ceiling, and cabinets. This will also be removed and new sheetrock installed. The cabinets will also be fixed or replaced depending on the extent of the damage starting July 6.
