Seuss on the Loose

Welcome to Seussville! Dr. Seuss was on the loose at St. Paul's CDS last week. The kids spent a fun-filled week learning all about the art and literature of Theodor Seuss Geisel, a.k.a. Dr. Seuss! The hallways were decorated as Mullberry Street, Cat in the Hat Lane, Whoville, Circus McGurkus, Jungle of Knool, and One Fish, Two Fish, Red Fish, Blue Fish!

Monday was Cat in the Hat day. Tuesday was The Butter Battle Book day. Wednesday was Wacky Wednesday day. Thursday was The Sneetches day and Friday was And To Think That I Saw It On Mulbeery Street day. The children also had a surprise Friday, mini ferris wheel rides, A Great Day For Up.

Activities throughout the week included fingerpainting for Green Eggs and Ham, water footprints on sidewalk for The Foot Book, confetti egg art for Horton Hatches the Egg, making newspaper hats and feathers for 500 Hats of Bartholomew Cubbins and using stamps to identify silhouette pictures and shapes for The Shape of Me and Other Things.

The week did not stop with activites. Snacks and lunches were all Dr. Seuss. How would you enjoy Green Eggs and Ham, Tiger Tator Tots, Super-Stoo-Pendus Stoo-Mendus Milk, Finney's Fish, Poodle Noodles, Sour Kangaroo Carrot Sticks, Cotton Candy from the Truffula Trees, Puddle Duddle Fuddle Wuddle Muddle Milk, Moose Juice, Who Pudding, Rainy Day Lemonde, Who-Roast Beast, McMonkey McBean Green Beans, Merry Christmas Mush, Daisy-Head Maizy Burgers, Fuddnuddlers Fruit and the list could go on forever. Fine Arts week at St. Paul's is never a dissappointment.
