Sunday, our 1st full day at the beach may not have been ideal but we made the most of it. We spent the morning sleeping in, fixed a late breakfast and then kicked back for a few hours so we could figure out plan B. We woke up to a double red flag warning meaning no public in the water because of extreme rip currents. The waves were perfect for surfers but not casual beach goers. We headed down to the on site covered water park, spent time in the hot tub, pool and lazy river. We never touched sand today, but the kids knew no difference. Not sure what we would have done without all the kid friendly activities to keep them occupied.
Did I mention the seaweed was horrendous!!! Also the police came by on boat numerous occasions removing people from the water, but once they left people were back in the water.
The waterpark received most of our attention. It took Mallory some time before she was comfortable.
Little Tots Splash Pad
All that fun = one exhausted little girl!
By the time we got to our room (4:30 pm) this was the view from our balcony. The beach was deserted, pools closed and an impending thunderstorm was headed our way.
Came back in from taking the pictures above to a sacked out little boy. Guess they were both worn out.
