This past weekend was a prime example. Saturday we had planned to take pictures in the pumpkin patch in Brenham with cousin Ely at 10:00 am, run to Giddings for a family reunion at lunch, then hurry back to Brenham for a birthday party at the aquatic center at 1:30 pm, take a brief rest at home before heading to a 1st birthday party in Carmine at 4:30 pm and then finish up the day with supper at my grandparents in Giddings. Not to mention we hoped to catch the A&M / Baylor score updates in between the activities. Well those were the plans until mid afternoon Friday when a fellow co-worker offered us two tickets to the A&M / Baylor game. We quickly made a few phone calls, thankfully no begging was needed, and rearranged Saturday's plans. The kids headed to my parents Friday night so we could get an early start to College Station for an 11:00 am kickoff. We re-scheduled pumpkin pictures to Sunday morning after church. The kids attended the family reunion with my parents while we went to the game. Unfortunately something had to go which was the 1:30 pm birthday party in Brenham. After the game we headed straight to Carmine to make a brief stop at the 1st birthday party and then we were off to Giddings for supper. Exhausted yet? How do we do it? We just take one day at a time and work through it. Life's not suppose to be simple, but this is crazy! I keep hoping for things to slow down, but looking at the calendar I don't see that happening.
Here are a few pictures from the A&M game, Parker's 1st birthday party and pumpkin pictures:
During the game in the student section the this banner was displayed briefly "Thou shall not covet thy neighbor's conference deal." For those of you who understand this was worth sharing.
The final score A&M 55 Baylor 28. Whoop!!
We hope that Parker had a fabulous 1st birthday and apologize that we could not share in the celebration fully! The candy bar was amazing!
Pumpkin pictures with cousin Ely. This is the best one I got. It's difficult getting a 5 year old, 22 month old and 6 month old even looking the same direction much less smile at the same time.
