Another positive on country living...bluebonnets in the front yard equals no car trip to take pictures. We simply got dressed and walked out the house. We are blessed to have a nice field of bluebonnets in front of the house to enjoy everyday. Seeing them day after day I took them for granted, but recently realized the grass was starting to overpower them. So last night we waited for the sun to start setting and took our trip to the bluebonnets for a few quick snaps. Surprisingly the kids were in decent moods and cooperated.

Birthday in the Park
We finally celebrated Dalton's 4th Birthday with all his friends this past weekend at Fireman's Park. Dalton actually turned 4 on January 26, but with a winter birthday, party ideas get more difficult year after year.
Last year he wanted a hayride and of course the morning of his party the wind was blowing 20 mph and the temperature hovering around 40 degrees, but we managed a hayride. This year between hosting a wedding shower at our house and Mallory's Baptism in January I convinced Dalton to delay his birthday party until this spring and he could have his party in the park like all his other friends.
Toward the beginning of the week I was unsure what I was going to do if the weather would not cooperate. I was going to have a devestated little boy, but "Thank You GOD" for listening to Dalton's prayers Friday night and holding off the rain for an absolutely gorgeous Saturday. Temps were cool, wind was low and the kids could enjoy playing. Not sure what I will do next year, but I'm thankful things worked out for his 4th Birthday.
Thanks to "Brenham Olde Towne Bakery" for an awesome birthday cake.

The boys absolutely love to climb and the new addition to Fireman's Park let's them do just that.

Blowing out the candles was a little work
My attempt at a group picture, but we had stragglers come and go the entire time so I didn't get everyone, but thanks for helping Dalton celebrate his 4th Birthday.
