Arm Update & Pics

Okay so I'm a little late in posting pics, but here they are. Also a little out of order because I'm just to tired to fix.

Watching cartoons Saturday morning while eating breakfast.

Look at that smile...feeling much better after a good nights sleep.

Poor baby...look at that arm and it's only his wrist!

Able to at least get a little smile out of him Friday night after the pain meds started working. (Feeling no pain at this point.)

Look at those eyes.

Sweet dreams...

1st official cast...Let's see how long 3 weeks really are!

Such a grown up little boy. How impressed I was for him not to be scared one bit. Even during x-rays. Since I'm pregnant I could not go in the x-ray room, but he told me he was a big boy and could do it by himself. The nurse said he sat like an angel.

Look at that face...so sad when he found out they were out of blue...so red was the next choice.

Waiting for x-rays.

Being silly while waiting for the dr.

That Darn Tricycle...All I Wanted To Do Was Ride

You know when you get a call like the one Ryan got at 8:00 am this morning from St. Pauls you just want to crawl back in bed and wake up the next day. Grandma Bonnie just dropped Dalton off for school at 7:30 so what could possibly happen in 30 minutes...A LOT!!!

Dalton went to the playground, decided he wanted to ride a tricycle and the rest is history. That darn tricycle was next to some concrete steps and instead of going forward, Dalton went backwards, taking a tumble down the stairs tricycle and all. The end result, bump to the head and a sore wrist. Ryan got the call to come check him out, but he was not in town so Grandma Bonnie went to check on him. All seemed well and he wanted to stay at school.

Then at 2:00 St. Pauls is once again calling. This time Dalton woke up from his nap throwing up. Ryan picked him up and out of pre-cautionary measures decided to take him to the doctor. Considering his symptoms and given the fall this morning the doctor decided to x-ray the wrist first. Who would have thought the result...a broken wrist!!

Okay, so he fell hard enough to break a wrist maybe that bump is more than a bump. Off to the hospital for a CT scan of the head. Finally some good news...no concussion!! YEA!! So what is causing the nausea and vomiting...a virus..on top of a broken wrist. Poor thing. I can only imagine what the weekend will bring. I promise to post pictures when I get a chance.

Baby Room Blues

With only 43 days to go some might say "What are you waiting on?" Well, between building a house, moving, unpacking, a new job position, new school year for Dalton and so on, BABY #2 has been ignored until NOW. Believe it or not we have not even discussed names. This poor baby might just be born without a name at the rate we are going. I know, I know get moving.

Tonight we are one step further, Ryan put together the new Graco Pack-N-Play (thanks Uncle Randy) for our bedroom. With the babies room clear on the other side of the house I decided that night time feedings would be much easier if the baby was closer to me, thus the new Pack-N-Play in our bedroom.

This past Saturday Ryan re-assemblied the baby furniture turning Dalton' s toddler bed back into a crib for the new little one. We also got the other furniture in it's place. The room looks so bare, but that will have to wait. This time around Ryan and I decided not to find out what we are having so decorating a room becomes a little more difficult. Once baby #2 arrives safe and sound and we get settled in at home the nursery will then be created. So for now I will just have to deal with the baby room blues.

Now, for the fun part...unpacking tubs of baby supplies. If I would just have taken the time to label and organize before I just threw things in tubs I might not be so overwhelmed. Where do I start?

Coloring...Cutting...Help Me I Said!!!

Dalton's new interest over the past few weeks is coloring and cutting (with scissors). Today, from the moment he came home from school he has sat at the kitchen table coloring pictures. Let me add that the internet has become our new best friend. There are several sights for free coloring and counting pages. Dalton picks his page, hits print and then he is off to coloring. The only comment we here about 50 times a night is "I'm trying to color mommy, but it hurts my tummy. Help me." Patience...Patience...Patience I continue to tell myself. He actually does a pretty good job on his own why do I have to sit right beside him when there are a million other things I can be doing? Anyways, the glory of a nearly 4 year old I guess.
