St. Paul's CDS Round Up

Last night was St. Paul's CDS annual Round Up fundraiser. If I have not said it before we ABSOLUTELY LOVE THIS SCHOOL! We will have an extremely tough decision to make come February when it is time to register for the new school year...public or private? Which will it be? We will be moving on to 1st grade! All in all it was a fabulous evening filled with extra special moments of friendship, laughter and good times. It's one gigantic family and we love it!

These 3 boys have been in class since they started St. Paul's.

And SOCCER Begins...

Dalton started his soccer career this week with two games. After a rocky (slim interest) spring of t-ball I was unsure about soccer, but I think he found his calling! He is so excited and can't wait for game days. Game 1 was a learning experience both for Dalton and Ryan. By the way Ryan is helping coach Dalton's team which is also a first for him. By game 2 Dalton was scoring goals. Unfortunately I missed them due to a work meeting, but I hope to see lots more as the season goes on. Maybe I can even catch them on video to share. Here's to a crazy busy fall with lots of adventures and stories to tell!

Practice before the game.

Dalton showing off one of his aggressive moves to stop and steal the ball.

Even while sitting on the sideline he never lost attention with the game. He never wanted to leave the field.

Mallory did not quite understand why she could not be on the field with the boys.

Fair Fun Ends

Whew... the Washington County Fair has come to an end and we survived yet another year! The kids were great troopers throughout the week including late nights and early mornings. Thankfully one night of carney fun was enough for them. We enjoyed the rodeo a couple nights which has been rare in past years. Overall it was a success and we look forward to next year! I can't imagine what our lives will be like in three years when Dalton can finally show!

Washington County Fair - Day 1

Although we were at the fairgrounds Saturday, Monday and Tuesday I will consider Wednesday our 1st official day at the 143rd Washington County Fair. The evening was full of fair fun including carnival rides, animals, tractors, and mutin bustin! Mallory loved all the rides, but I think her favorite was the hobby horses! Dalton was torn between wipe out and the magic maze! Although he would have liked a second chance at muttin bustin he did a fabulous job. Here are a few pictures from night one. There will be plenty more to come as the week goes on.

This was the closest she would get to the stinky pigs!

She was in heaven! Popo and daddy may have their hands full in the future!

Here is a video of Dalton's 1st mutin bustin experience! He says he can't wait to do it again! He was so made he fell off before the buzzer!

Good As Gold

I don't get to brag on Dalton's behavior at school very often because it's not always brag worthy. As you can tell we have had our good days and bad, but Monday was an exception. My phone rang at 3:30 and it was Dalton. He could not wait till we got home to tell me he moved UP to GOLD! I don't think I have ever heard as much excitment in his voice as I did that day! He was truly proud of himself as were we! Let's see if this behavior can continue....
