Congratulations Laura & Ryon

This weekend was Laura and Ryon's wedding. Dalton got to experience all the aspects of a tux and did a pretty fair job as ring bearer for Mrs. Laura.

Dalton trying to figure out the tie.

Making sure it fits before the big day.

Practicing how to walk down the isle for the big day.

Cousin Laura and Mallory - Mallory was more concerned about Laura's pretty necklace. I was concerned we did not have pearls everywhere before the ceremony.

Cousin Austin and Dalton two-stepping it.

Cousin Avery and Dalton two-stepping it.

Mrs. Laura had one exhaused little boy that clung to her by night's end.

Mr. & Mrs. Ryon Jones - Welcome to the family Ryon. We wish you both a lifetime of happiness.

Mallory 9 Month Update

Okay, so I know I'm a week or so late, but things have been crazy. Mallory was 9 months on the 18th. She is now 18 lbs. 1 oz. and 28 1/2 inches tall. She is in the 30 percentile for weight and 70 percentile for height. According to her growth pattern doctor says she will be tall and skinny. I can only guess where she gets that from.

She continues to keep us on our toes getting into just about everything. There are still no sign of teeth. She is becoming braver walking / reaching from couch to coffee table or toy to toy. Bath time is a favorite along with playing with Dalton. Within the last few days she has really become a babbler and really trying to talk. Below are a few pics from the last few weeks.

1st Day of Pre-K

It's that time again, "Back To School", the words kids dread and parents can't wait for. It means summer is coming to an end and the year is half gone. The last two years the words "Back To School" did not have much meaning to Dalton becasue as he knows it school is everyday, but this year they have a tad bit more meaning because today is Dalton's 1st day of Pre-K, otherwise known at St. Paul's CDS as an Ocean Treasure.

We got to visit his new classroom last Friday and meet his new teacher Mrs. Winkelmann. We look forward to an amazing year of Pre-K. He is excited because he has his favorite friend/cousin Austin in his class this year.

Sand + Water + Waves = BEACH

Day 1 - Mallory checking out the water and sand between her toes.

Day 1 - Mallory was all smiles.

Day 1 - Dalton could not get enough of the waves.

Day 1 - We can't take credit for this, but I thought it was a great photo opp. Someone from our condo was pretty talented. Too bad it was gone the next day.

Day 2 - Jelly fish ruined our time in the water, but we let Mallory float for a little while until she actually wanted in the water then we headed back to the pool.

These little creatures were everywhere - baby jellyfish. So small you could not see them splashing in the waves. Thankfully we all managed to escape without a sting, but the others around us were not so lucky. By Day 3 they were just sporadic and we could enjoy the water as long as we stayed on the look out.

Day 3 - Dalton enjoyed riding the waves.

Day 3 - Mallory took a much needed nap before she got to play.

Day 3 - Dalton enjoyed the sand. He could actually make sandcastles this year without them sticking in the bucket or falling apart like years past. He was so excited.

Day 3 - The entire gang relaxing before we headed home the next day.

Day 3 - Mallory relaxing in the water after her nap. This was her first opportunity to actually get in the water and be free. She absolutely loved it and wanted more.

Day 3 - Mallory enjoyed playing in the sand. The heat never seemed to bother her either.

Day 3 - Along with playing came tasting. I think she ate enough sand and seaweed for all of us.

Day 3 - She loved the water so much we caught her on more than one occasion taking off for a little wave action. The child was fearless and nothing scared her.
